At least 30 people died and more than 230 injured in bomb attacks on Brussels’ Zaventem airport and a metro station on Tuesday morning. Twenty people died as a result of the explosion at the Maelbeek metro station, and 10 from the two blasts at the airport. Islamic State (Isis) claimed responsibility for the attacks, according to a news agency affiliated to the group.
The pope condemned “blind violence which causes so much suffering” and Muslim groups also denounced the atrocities. Here is some reaction forth day’s events:
